- The 1734 Society is still looking for supporters who will give $17.34 per year to support the preservation of the national Federation of Women's Clubs headquarters building, a National Historic Landmark. Donations to the 1734 Society are tax deductible and will aid in the upkeep and preservation of the GFWC Headquaters, which in turn allow GFWC to maintain a valuable and permanent part of American women's history. The preservation of the building is important to all GFWC members. You may take a virtual tour of the headquarters at http://www.gfwc.org. Checks need to be written to the "1734 Society" and then forwarded to the care of The 1734 Society, The General Federation of Women's Clubs, 1734 N. Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20036-2990.
